Our Rammed Earth walls are highly durable and are sealed with a clear, dustproof and waterproof sealant, making them maintenance free. With this they require no rendering and therefore hide none of the walls uniquely beautiful colours, textures and tones. They are termite resistant, have a four-hour fire rating, are load bearing and require no structural framing.

Rammed Earth houses achieve a five-star rating when good solar passive design is combined with the thermal mass of rammed earth.

Rammed Earth specialized formwork, developed and improved over the past 25 years, enables our clients versatility in their design, and the ability to incorporate angled corners, curved and raked walls, port holes, niches, arches, and walls of any length and thickness, up to nine metres in height.

We have also used Rammed Earth for the construction of retaining walls, property entrances and paving.

Rammed earth is one of the oldest forms of construction. It dates from the time of semi-nomadic man in the Middle East - even pre-dating mud brick.
